KZN Police Brutality - SAP new uniform - Balaclava !

This video shows members of the SAP (South African Police in KwaZulu Natal) beating up innocent citizens. The citizens being beaten were sent to ICU after this incident due to serious injuries. Fortunately they both survived. This incident took place on 27 December 2011. At the end of the video they(the police) turned the cameras around. A bit too late :-)

Operation Neptune, maritime anti poaching South Africa

what was Operation Neptune? Well in short it was a response to a problem, the communities of the Overberg identified that abalone poaching was a huge problem, not only a problem which tickled at the collective conservationist psyche but a doorway through which organized crime would grow, gangs would strengthen themselves and ordinary people would find out how close they would be to the preservation of a simple sea creature. The SAPS and then Marine and Coastal Management stood up to that problem, police officers, mcm officials, soldiers, sailors and airmen, ordinary South Africans stood up firmly against a tide of poaching. Their story has never been told. This has become my labour of love, to tell that story, to bring to light how heroic they were and how much they brought with them. My research is already well advanced but I always am looking for more, so please if you have photo's, video's, newspaper clippings please IM/ Inbox/ or e mail me bryanmennnie@yahoo.co.uk

South African Police Brutality in Vaalwater 2011

Video on South African police brutality in Vaalwater a town in South Africa in 2011. Now just imagine what would have happened, if that was With policeman, beating up the black guy. No but it is a black policeman, so the cop gets a promotion, too.

SADF Operation Packer (1988) Part 1

Operation Packer was a military operation by the South African Defence Force (SADF) during the South African Border War and Angolan Civil War. This operation forms part of what became known as the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale. Although officially following on from Operation Hooper, Operation Packer was in reality concurrent with it most of the time, as its objective was to drive the combined FAPLA/Cuban force back across the Cuito River to the west bank. This task was successfully achieved by the South African forces' GV5 and GV6 howitzers, who forced the FAPLA/Cuban units to the west of the Cuito River from their positions east of Cuito Cuanavale on the Chambinga Heights. http://www.geocities.ws/sa_bushwar11/

Buffel Mine-protected APC

The Buffel is a mine-protected APC used by the South African Army during the South African Border War. It was certainly not the most comfortable vehicle, but it offered the necessary protection against mine attack. The Buffel was also used as an armoured fighting vehicle and proved itself in this role. It has been replaced by the Mamba in South Africa, but remains in use elsewhere, notably Sri Lanka.

They were part of the elite Crowbar unit, a death squad responsible for killing many people. During the South African Border War, they fought against what was known as the Rooi gevaar (red danger), the government term for the ANC and SWAPO liberation movements.
