This interesting little report into the crime rate in South Africa comes after the murder of a "British" Asian couple who were car-jacked in South Africa while on their honeymoon and the woman was found murdered. South Africa subsequently found itself under criticism and scrutiny from the UK media which provoked an angry backlash from South Africa towards the UK who were basically told to put their own backyard in order before they start criticising South Africa. In a press conference this week, the South African Police Commissioner compared the crime rate of his country to the crime rate of London, claiming that when he visited London his driver refused to drive him to Brixton. Presumably for fears over his safety. What's the problem? He's black. Brixton is awash with black people. Doesn't he know, it's only unsafe if you're white! With a murder in South Africa every 2 days and a murder rate 15 times higher than London, South Africa and London are hardly the same when it comes to crime rates, however London is fast catching up with the influx of illegal immigrants from all over Africa.
